Ensure that your hair is at least 5mm in length. If you are used to shaving then this will cause the ends of the hair to be sharp and waxing may be more effective if hair is left to grow until 1cm long. The longer the hair, the more likely the wax is to adhere to the hair shaft.
For a few days before your appointment you should exfoliate the area to be waxed, this will help to prevent dead skin cells filling the newly waxed hair follicle and aid the reduction of ingrown hairs. Use of a good moisturiser will also help keep ingrown hairs to a minimum.
Personal hygiene is a must. Please thoroughly wash the area to be treated prior to your appointment. For intimate waxes please also wash the area surrounding your buttocks as hair removal may extend to these areas.
Wear loose fitting clothes on the day of your appointment to prevent friction after your treatment.
