Soreness, reddening and small bumps are common following your waxing treatment and will fade over the next 48 hours. Wearing loose fitting clothing will reduce friction levels against the area.
For the first 24 hours you should avoid unnecessary heat sources such as hot baths/showers, sunbeds, saunas, steamrooms or prolonged periods of exposure to sunshine for the waxed area.
Avoid applying perfumed products to the area as this may cause an unpleasant stinging sensation. Do not apply deodorant following underarm treatments, or make-up following facial treatments.
Avoid sexual activity for the first 24 hours as any extra friction to the area could increase reddening and soreness.
Exfoliation of the skin should take place after 48 hours and then application of a good moisturiser. It is at this stage where you may also wish to begin applying an ingrown hair serum or hair minimising lotion. This will help with your overall 'smooth' look. Regular exfoliation and treatment will help to reduce and prevent ingrown hairs in your waxed area.
